Stephanie Petersen: Chef, Wife, Mother and Friend
Stephanie is a classically trained chef whose professional name is Chef Tess Bakeresse. Whether you know her from her blog, from classes throughout the Southwest, or from her many TV and radio appearances, you surely have seen that she is multitalented. Chef Tess is known for her solar cooking, her famous 52 Method of meals in a jar, and for her zany blog where her posts can touch you enough to leave you in tears but will mostly leave you in stitches! No matter how you connect with her, you'll feel like she invited you into her kitchen and into her heart.
A classically trained chef, with an emphasis on pastry, Stephanie has worked in a bakeshop and as an assistant banquet chef. When she became a mother, she set aside her work in the restaurant and focused full time on her kids. This seemed a sacrifice, but it gave her real world experience in cooking on a tight budget and being creative with her limited resources. Through her blog and her passion for food storage, she was "discovered" by Honeyville Farms, and she was eventually hired to be their corporate chef. While there, she focused on recipe development, publishing cookbooks and teaching in store classes.

Currently she co-hosts a radio show with Arizona favorite Jan D'Atri on Saturday afternoons from 3-5pm, Arizona time. You can hear her online or on 550 Fox Radio Phoenix.
Showcasing her vast artistic abilities, Stephanie has been creating decorative breads for years. She was published in Australian Baking Business magazine for her bread-painting. She has taught a few classes, and has posted her breads on her blog, but the extent of her techniques and tips have not been available until now. We eagerly await the publication of her new book to be published in March 2014.
